PET口语考试时长为10-12分钟， 总共分成四个部分：

Part1 基本问答
【时间】2-3分钟
【内容】
考官与考生分别交谈，考查考生在日常生活中与他人交流的能力。问题一般为个人信息，兴趣爱好，日常生活等。
【回答技巧】
考生需要仔细听考官的问题，然后给出相关的回答。
避免只回答一个单词，要用完整的句子回答，第一部分回答 1-2 句为佳
注意事项：
说完整句子；回复额外的扩展信息；回答要清晰响亮，自信；如果没听清问题，要问考官，如：Could you say that again, please? / I'm sorry, could you repeat that?
考试分为两个阶段。
Phase 1
考官会轮流问考生几个相同的问题，这些问题都与个人信息相关。需要注意的是，考生不能只回答单词，应该回答完整的句子并适当补充信息。
例如：
考官：What's your name?
考生：My name is … …
考官：How old are you?
考生：I am……years old.
考官：Where do you live?
考生：I live in Beijing.
考官：Who do you live with?
考生：I live with my parents.
Phase 2
考官会提出一系列问题，考生 A 和 B 回答的是不同的问题。考生作答时，尽量说2-3个句子，给出具体的例子或说说你的经历。此部分主要围绕日常生活、家庭、兴趣、爱好、过去的经历以及将来的计划等话题进行提问。
考官：Do you like your school?
考生：Yes, I do. I love my school because there is a big playground where I often play basketball with my friends.
考官：Do you study English at school?
考生：Yes, I do. I have English lesson everyday. And we've got a nice English teacher.
Part2 图片描述
【时间】每位考生 1 分钟
【内容】
官给两位考生每人一张彩色图片，考生需要用 1 分钟的时间描述图片。本题考查考生组织语言和词汇来描述视觉信息的能力。需要描述到图片中物品的名称、颜色、人物衣着、时间、天气等。图片描述可以简述为: 什么人在什么地点干什么事。
【答题思路】
第一步：整体描述
用—两句话说清楚是谁、 在哪里、 做什么。比如： In this photo, there is/are …+doing sth.＋地点
第二步：人物描述（动作、衣着、心情等）
①描述人物的外表
包括：衣着、头发 (long or short, straight or wavy, black /silver/grey /blonde/brown, /braid, ）、肤色 (dark /pale) 五官、饰品 (glasses /necklace/hat /watch) 、体形 (plump /slim/tall /short)
②描述人物的场景动作
描述人物在做什么事情 ， 如果是有多个人物 ， 那么他们是在做同—件事情还是不同的事情？天气怎么样？周围的环境是怎么样的？
③猜测年龄、人物之间的关系和心情等
图片中人物的心情看起来怎么样 ， 是高兴、 惊讶、 兴奋、 还是平静？
注意事项：
如果图片只有1个人 可具体描述人的外貌 ， 穿着和动作；
如果图片有2-3个人可按人物所在的位置描述主体人物 ， 不必描述的过于细致；
如果图片中超过3个人 由于时间限制可分组描述，不具体到每个人的细节。
第三步：场景描述（物品、天气、时间、季节、风景等）
场景描述要按照一定的顺序，由远及近、由近及远、从左到右、从右到左、从上到下等。要使用准确的方位介词 ， 描述清楚各物品之间以及物品与人之间的空间关系。可以描述的内容包括物品或风景、天气、时间、季节等。
描述图片使用—般现在时，人物动作部分使用现在进行时。
第四步：进行合理猜测
推测人物之间的关系，年龄 （比如父女关系、 夫妻关系、 青少年、 上班族）、事件发生的时间（比如上午、 下午、晚上）、地点（比如卧室、图书馆、公园等）、天气和季节（比如人物穿了短袖推测是夏天 ， 看见黄色树叶推测秋天 ， 看见下雪推测是冬天）
【答题建议】
- 考生描述图片时，不要随便加自己想象的东西，可以说说自己对图片内容的猜测，但是不宜过多；
- 描述的过程中需注意词汇的丰富性，注意变换句式，使用不同的连词，使语言结构更加丰富完整；
- 考生应当尽可能详尽地描述照片中的人物和活动 ， 应该想象自己正在向看不见照片的人描述内容；
- 如果想不起某个单词，可能通过换—种说法的方式或其他策略来处理不知道或记不住的单词。
【答题示范】
In this photo, there is a young girl who is packing her bag at home. （整体描述）
The girl has got long and curly hair. She is wearing a red hoodie, blue jeans, and red socks. She is sitting on the steps and putting her books into her big backpack, which is red. （描述人物）
On the left, there is a red jacket hanging on the wall, which will probably keep her warm when she goes outside. On her right, there is a white cupboard. Behind her, there is a device, like a laptop being charged. （描述场景）
The girl seems calm and focused, so I suppose she's getting ready for school or going to a class. It's probably in winter and the weather might be cold as she is wearing a hoodie. （合理猜测）
Part3 图片讨论
【时间】两位考生讨论2-3分钟
【内容】考官给出设定的情景以及图片，两位考生需要根据题目设定和图片的提示进行讨论。本题考查学生运用适当的语言进行交际的能力。
【讨论过程】
①从—幅图片开启讨论；
②表达自己的意见并说明原因；
③询问对方的意见；
④在讨论完这—幅图之后，继续讨论下—幅图；
⑤直到图片都讨论完后，得出结论，做出最终选择。
【考试建议】
l. 考试时专注投入任务本身，而不只是完成就好。 评分看重的是考生是否用对了语言和互动方法，而非想法本身是否出彩。
2. 讨论时要针对对方的想法给出回应，比如分享自己的观点、提出疑问， 通过这些推动讨论不断进行。
3. 所有图片尽量都要讨论到，别着急下结论。 急着定结果反而会错过充分展现自己语言能力的机会。
4. 万—还没得出结论就被考官打断，也不用慌。 这通常是因为答题时间到了，而且考官不会以是否完成任务作为评分标准。
5. 最终选择没有绝对正确的答案 ， 但—定要把自己的观点和支撑理由说清楚。
6. 虽然考试中两人需要合作讨论图片 ， 但分数是分开计算的， 彼此独立、 互不影响。 所以不管搭档水平怎样 ， 尽量别让对方干扰到自己的发挥和最终成绩。
7. 遇到一个喋喋不休抢话的同伴怎么办？要勇敢插话，勇敢去打断对方的喋喋不休，因为在两人对话中，老师是不会来插话的，必须得自己去找机会表现。可以这样打断插入： I don't agree with you! I have different opinion! 说话音调要提高，看着对方眼睛，保证对方能听到。如果你的音量比较大态度坚决，那么是可以打断对方的喋喋不休的。在这个部分中，去作主导方比较有优势，但不要老是去抢话，有来有往，互相引导的搭配合作才是双赢。
8.遇到一个很弱的同伴怎么办？这个时候做足准备的小朋友占了很大优势，但这个项目是考沟通交流，虽然你一个人也可以完成任务，但一个人完成任务能证明你的英文沟通交流能力吗？善良才是最大的通行证。遇到一个很弱的小朋友，你的引导能力才是得高分的关键！要去引导他说出自己的看法，结论，如果对方连看法观点都没法表达出来，要引导他给出结论，比如直接问： Do you think it's a good choice or a bad choice? It's ok or not ok?
遇到一个比较弱的小朋友，最大的问题是六幅图片，可能没法一一讨论完，这个时候后面剩的图片可以统一讨论，假设还剩 3 幅图片没讨论，可以这样引导对方“In these three pictures, there are flowers, toy car and book, which one do you think is the best gift for baby? ” 在对方做出选择后就可以做总结结论了。
9.一定要做结论并告诉你的最后选择给考官。所有图片都讨论完后，用一句话来说总结：Let's make our decision, I prefer toy car as the best gift for baby， what do you think? (注意你选的这个一定是前面讨论里面自己肯定过的选择，不要前面自己已经否定了，现在又提出来肯定)。如果对方同意你的选择，那么告诉考官；Our decision is ...。如果对方不同意，并说出他自己的选择和理由，那 么你反过去同意对方的选择就可以，避免在结论上出现争执和浪费时间。
【回答示范】
考官：Now, in this part of the test you're going to talk about something together for about two minutes. I'm going to describe a situation to you.
A girl's penfriend is visiting her from another country. The girl would like to buy her penfriend a present that will remind her of her stay.
Here are some presents she could buy.
Talk together about the different presents she could buy her penfriend and say which
would be best.
All right? Now, talk together.
考生 A: So, what do you think would be a good present for her penfriend?

考生 A: I think a book is a nice idea if it's about the country or its culture. But if her penfriend doesn't like reading, it might not be the best choice. （表达观点＋说明原因） Do you think so? （询间对方意见）
考生 B: You're probably right, but I think the board game could be fun because they can play it together. （表达不同意＋说明原因）What do you think?（询问对方意见）
考生 A: I don't know about that. If her penfriend doesn't have other friends to play with
back home, it might not be very useful. （表达不同意＋说明原因）What about the photo of them together?（推进讨论下一个选项）
考生 B: Oh, that's a great idea! It's very personal and will remind her of their time together. （表达观点＋说明原因）Do you agree?（询问对方意见）
考生 A: I agree.（表达同意） The reason is that it's very special．（说明原因） But what do you think about the vase or the necklace? （推进讨论下一个选项）
考生 B: I think the vase might be difficult to carry back home without breaking it. The
necklace could be nice, though, because it's small and pretty. （表达观点＋说明原因） Do you think so?（询问对方意见）
考生 A: That's true, but it's not as personal as the photo.（表达不同意） Maybe we
should choose the photo as the best present.（提出建议）
考生 B: Yes, I think so too. It's unique and will always remind her of her stay.（表达同意）
考生 A: Great, let's choose the photo then!（作出最终选择）
Part4 主题问答
【时间】 3分钟
【内容】
本题是 part3 的延伸题。考官根据 part3 的话题，向考生提问。本题考查考生全面的语言能力。如果PART 3图片是关于旅游的，那么在PART 4可能就会问到你是否经常去旅游，哪种方式去旅游，和谁去，用什么交通工具去等等。
如果PART 3得图片是关于游戏的，那么PART 4可能就会问你是否玩游戏，和谁玩，怎么看待玩游戏，多久玩一次类似的话题。
【答题技巧】
考生需要仔细听考官的问题，然后给出相关的回答。回答问题时，可以提供一些细节或原因，让内容更加丰富。在这个环节中，一个问题可以回复大概 4-5 句比较好。可以对这个问题做延伸回复。可以根据话题，谈论自己的个人经历、表达自己的喜好、分享个人的观点等。
技巧一：说明原因
在回答原因时 ， 考生可以列举不同的原因 ， 例如：
考官：Do you prefer to go on trips with your friends or your family? (Why?)
考生：I prefer going on trips with my friends. When I travel with friends, it's more fun because we share the same interests and enjoy doing similar activities. （原因—) Also, friends make everything more exciting with their energy and jokes. （原因二）
技巧二：举例说明
在举例说明时 ， 考生可以列举多个例子， 例如：
考官： Would you like to have more school trips?
考生 Yes, I would love to have more school trips! I think they are a great way to learn outside the classroom. For example, I'd like to visit a museum or a science center because they are educational and fun.（举例—)I also enjoy trips to the countryside, where we can do activities like hiking or exploring nature. （举例二）
技巧三：通过5W1H原则补充细节 (What/When/Where/Who/Why/How)
在回答事实类问题时 ， 可以使用 5W1H 进行拓展描述 ， 例如．
考官：What kind of activities do you enjoy doing in your free time?
考生：In my free time, I enjoy reading books, especially adventure novels. The reason why I love it is because they allow me to experience exciting new worlds without leaving my home. (Why, 拓展原因） I usually read by myself, as I prefer quiet time alone to really focus on the story. (Who, 拓展人物） I enjoy reading in a cozy corner of my room or at a local park when the weather is nice. (Where& When, 拓展时间和地点）
